May 9 The Protection of The Other "Who has Good Intentions” in his Dealings with “Money Companies” (In Arabic)
As the money companies include a large number of partners and are based on shares, the law has formulated the provisions in detail in order to protect people. The Other "who has good intentions " may enter into contract with the chairman of the company’s board of directors, one of its members, or one of its agents, without knowing that this person has submitted his resignation, has been dismissed, or has overstepped the limits of his power and used his position to achieve his own interests. If that happens, is the company obligated to The Other "who has good intentions " or not? And who guarantees for The Other "who has good intentions "dealer the preservation of his rights? What are the limits of personal liability for a company representative for his faults?

May 20 Ileana Baird. & Hulya Yagciolu. (Eds.), Book Launch Event - All Things Arabia: Arabian Identity and Material Culture (Brill, 2020)
The editors of the book invite the ZU community to a roundtable discussion of our collection of essays, All Things Arabia: Arabian Identity and Material Culture, recently published by Brill in their Arts and Archeology of the Islamic World series. This event will be attended by some of the contributors to our collection who will speak about the role that material objects both real and imaginary have played in creating an “Arabian” identity over time. Involving the combined experience of scholars from diverse fields of study (anthropology, history, ethnography, museology, literary and film studies, and art history), this conversation aims to dispel existing stereotypes about the Arabian Peninsula and stimulate new thinking about a culture whose patterns of trade and cosmopolitanism have pollinated the world with lasting myths, knowledge, and things of beauty.
